Vodafone Australia 100% owned by Vodafone Group Plc.

Vodafone began operations in 1993, and is now the third largest mobile carrier in Australia after Telstra and Optus.

 

Network Services

GSM network - currently covers 93% of the Australian population.

3G network - provides customers with access to music, sports, games, news, music tracks, mobile TV, video calling and mobile broadband services. Current HSPA upgrade in greater metropolitan Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Adelaide and Perth.

In December 2007 Vodafone Australia announced plans to roll out a national 3G HSPA upgraded mobile broadband network that will provide high-speed coverage to 95% of the Australian population before the end of 2008.
