The Virtual Worlds
A virtual world is a computer-based simulated environment, where
users inhabit and interact using avatars. Avatars are two or three-dimensional
graphical representations of humanoids. Some, but not all, virtual
worlds allow for multiple users.
Virtual worlds are more than just games to most participants. They
are either:
- real identity escapes
- big business
Your real world avatar still needs food, clothing, somewhere to
live, and a social life
